The vintage circus, was a form of inspiration, since it describes the performance which has followed various formats through its 250-year modern history. Consistently over the years, the creation of different personas on stage has seemed to be the main focus of circus performances. This included contortionists, jugglers, acrobats, hula hoop performers and aerialists. The way that I in turn explored the concept was in a series of photographs and paintings, deriving from either those photographs or other sites of inspiration.
