Burlesque can be defined as an art, which effectively reveals that the promise of nudity is more powerful than nudity itself. The history revolving the “cheesecake burlesque”, explores vintage imagery and stereotypes of femininity, sexuality and glamour. The vintage circus on the other hand, describes the performance which has followed various formats through its 250-year modern history. Consistently over the years, the creation of different personas on stage has seem to be the main focus, including contortionists, jugglers, acrobats, hula hoop performers and aerialists.
